「華懋荃味道」美食嘉年華

Noah Workshop is proud to have supported Chinachem Group (CCG) in the creative concept and design for the “CCG Taste of Tsuen Wan” Food Festival (「華懋荃味道」美食嘉年華) at D·PARK, and the design of the displays along the Tai Ho Road footbridge in Tsuen Wan.
The Idea
If food is one of the strongest expressions of a district’s identity, then perhaps the best way to experience Tsuen Wan is to eat your way through it. That was the starting point behind our placemaking project for Chinachem’s D·PARK. Rather than telling people about Tsuen Wan, we wanted them to experience it through taste.
The Event
More than 20 local food stores came together under one roof, turning the space into a place where visitors could discover the flavours that have shaped the district over the years, including Man Fung Food (民豐粉麵行), Duen Kee Chinese Restaurant (端記茶樓) and Yuet Wo (悅和醬園). Designed as a relaxed gathering space, the festival provided opportunities for people to reconnect over familiar flavours, reinforcing community bonds through shared experience.
The Execution
Together with Oasis, we transformed part of the mall into a playful interpretation of a Tsuen Wan Food Street (荃灣街頭小食街). Inspired by the visual language of Hong Kong streets, we created oversized road signs, wayfinding systems, and familiar neighbourhood sights and characters. Here are some favourites to share:
- 食勻荃街 (Taste Tsuen Wan)
- 食道 (Food Street)
- 好食到停唔道 (Everything is Dope)
