Narrow Door is proud to have partnered once again with Airport Express (AEL) to launch “The Speedy Bounce Challenge”, both online and on the streets of Hong Kong. Participants were invited to bounce up from an Airport Express seat at the exact 24-second mark on a timer, turning AEL’s core benefit of “speedy” into a playful and memorable experience.

Objectives

To maximise awareness of Airport Express through engaging activations beyond the AEL stations and drive patronage during the peak winter travel season.

Idea & Concept

To bring the benefit of “speedy” to life, we leveraged the Hong Kong spirit of “quick but not hurried”. This insight shaped a multi-channel campaign combining playful digital engagement, high-impact street activations, and highly shareable user-generated content.

“The Speedy Bounce” Street Challenge 「快到彈起」街頭挑戰

Over weekends in January, a real Airport Express seat was placed in various locations around the city. Participants bounced up from the seat at exactly “24:00”, mirroring AEL’s lightning-fast 24-minute journey from town to the airport, for a chance to win prizes including Hong Kong Airlines return tickets to Seoul.

The Street Challenge was also extended online, running until 1 March. By logging onto the page of the Digital Challenge, users could help AEL’s mascot, KT Chai (機鐵仔),  “bounce up” at precisely 24:00 for a chance to win discounted AEL round-trip tickets.
