Butter Creative helped Spotlight (星滙餐廳) at Studio City Macau launch its first-ever Thai-themed buffet, timed to match the Songkran Festival (潑水節). We transformed a premium dining experience into an immersive cultural celebration that brought the spirit of Thailand to Macau.

The Vibe: Songkran in the City

To capture the essence of the Thai New Year, we overhauled the restaurant’s visual atmosphere with Thai-inspired elephants, floral backdrops and authentic Thai Boat displays. Every corner offered a photo-worthy moment for diners.

Engaging Workshop

Beyond the buffet, we introduced a Mango Sticky Rice workshop where guests could craft their own dessert.  This hands-on experience let them take a “piece of Thailand” home.

The Launch Event

The opening ceremony featured a custom entertainment experience, including:

• A tailor-made theme song named “Spotlight”, composed in a modern Thai-Pop style to give the restaurant its own unique sonic identity.
• A choreographed “Water Gun Dance” that blended contemporary energy with Thai gestures, paying playful homage to Songkran traditions.
